What is the Online Flashlight?

Need light fast? On many Android phones this tool can switch on the camera torch (LED flash) directly from the browser. If your device does not allow that – for example iPhone or a laptop – it turns your whole screen into a bright light with adjustable colour.

There are also SOS (Morse … − − − …) and strobe modes for emergencies.

How to use the Online Flashlight

  1. Press Turn on torch and allow camera access (needed to control the LED).
  2. If the LED is not supported, use Screen light instead.
  3. Choose Steady, SOS or Strobe mode.

Which phones support the torch?

Chrome on most Android phones supports it. Safari on iPhone does not allow websites to control the flash, so use the screen light or the Control Centre torch.

Warning

Strobe light can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy.
