What is the Bubble Level?
Hang a picture straight, check a shelf or make sure your table is level – using just your phone. This spirit level uses the phone’s motion sensor to show a moving bubble and the exact tilt angle in degrees. It turns green and beeps when perfectly level.
Place the phone flat on a surface (surface mode) or hold its long edge against something (edge mode).
How to use the Bubble Level
- Open this page on your phone and press Start level (on iPhone, tap Allow).
- Lay the phone flat or hold its edge against the object.
- Adjust until the bubble is centred and the readout says 0.0°.
- If your phone case is uneven, place it on a known level surface and press Calibrate.
Accuracy
Most phones are accurate to about ±0.5°. Remove thick or uneven cases for best results.
