What is the LinkedIn Text Formatter?
LinkedIn does not have a bold or italic button for posts – but you can still stand out. Select any words in the editor and tap Bold, Italic or Underline: the tool converts them into special Unicode characters that LinkedIn shows as styled text. Add bullet points, check the live preview and the “see more” cut-off, then copy your post.
How to use the LinkedIn Text Formatter
- Write or paste your post.
- Select text and tap Bold, Italic, Bold italic or Underline.
- Check the preview (the first ~210 characters show before “…see more”).
- Copy and paste into LinkedIn.
Tips
- Use bold for the hook and key phrases only.
- Screen readers may read Unicode letters oddly, so keep important info in normal text too.
- Leave empty lines between short paragraphs.
This LinkedIn Text Formatter is 100% free, needs no signup and runs privately in your browser – on phone, tablet or computer.
