Calculators Free Private

Price and discount

Work out final prices during sales, including an optional extra discount and sales tax.

What is the Discount Calculator?

Sales, promo codes and "buy now" offers can make prices confusing. This discount calculator shows the final price after any percentage discount and exactly how much money you save. It also handles stacked offers such as "20% off + extra 10% off" and can add sales tax or GST on top so you see the real amount you will pay at the checkout.

It is useful for shoppers comparing deals during Black Friday, 11.11 or Eid sales, and for shop owners who want to set sale prices quickly.

How to use the Discount Calculator

  1. Enter the original price of the product.
  2. Enter the discount percentage, plus an extra discount if there is one.
  3. Add the tax rate if needed and read the final price and savings.

How to calculate a discount

Sale price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). For example, 20% off a 2,500 price: 2,500 × 0.80 = 2,000, so you save 500.

Stacked discounts are applied one after another. 20% off and then an extra 10% off is 2,500 × 0.80 × 0.90 = 1,800 – a total discount of 28%, not 30%.

Smart shopping tips

  • Compare the final price, not the discount percentage – a 50% discount on an inflated price may still cost more.
  • Check if the tax is included in the shown price.
  • For bulk deals ("buy 2 get 1 free") the real discount is 33% per item.

Frequently asked questions

Is 20% + 10% the same as 30% off?

No. The second discount applies to the already reduced price, so the total is 28%.

How do I find the original price from the sale price?

Divide the sale price by (1 − discount ÷ 100). For 1,600 after 20% off: 1,600 ÷ 0.8 = 2,000.

How do I calculate the discount percentage?

(Original − sale price) ÷ original × 100.

Does it work with any currency?

Yes – rupees, dollars, dirhams or any other currency.

This discount calculator is 100% free, needs no signup and works on phones, tablets and computers. Your data is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
