What is the Sudoku?
Every puzzle is generated fresh with a unique solution. Pick a difficulty, tap a cell and use the number pad – perfect on phones. Turn on Notes to pencil in candidates, use Hint when stuck, and Check to highlight mistakes. You can also print puzzles (with answers) or type in a puzzle from a newspaper and let the solver finish it.
How to use the Sudoku
- Choose Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert and tap New.
- Tap a cell, then a number. Toggle Notes for pencil marks.
- Fill every row, column and 3×3 box with 1–9 once each.
Beginner strategy
- Scan each 3×3 box for numbers that can go in only one cell.
- Look for rows/columns missing just one or two numbers.
- Use notes when a cell has two options, and look for pairs.
