What is the Number Guessing Game?
The computer thinks of a secret number and you try to guess it. After each guess you are told whether the secret is higher or lower. Choose an easy (1–100), hard (1–1000) or custom range. A clever strategy – always guessing the middle – finds any number from 1 to 100 in 7 guesses or fewer!
How to use the Number Guessing Game
- Pick a range and tap New game.
- Type a guess and press Guess.
- Use the higher/lower hints to narrow it down.
Maths tip
This is binary search: each guess halves the possibilities. For 1–1000 you never need more than 10 guesses.
