What is the Dots and Boxes?
The classic paper-and-pencil game. Players take turns drawing a line between two neighbouring dots. If your line completes the fourth side of a box, you claim it (it turns your colour) and you must draw another line. When all lines are drawn, the player with the most boxes wins.
How to use the Dots and Boxes
- Choose board size and opponent.
- Tap between two dots to draw a line.
- Complete boxes to score and play again.
Strategy
Avoid drawing the third side of a box – it gives your opponent a free box. Late in the game, count the “chains” of boxes.
This Dots and Boxes is 100% free, needs no signup and runs privately in your browser – on phone, tablet or computer.
