What is the Minesweeper?

Clear the board without detonating any mines. Numbers show how many mines touch that square. Tap to reveal; use Flag mode (or long-press / right-click) to mark mines. Your first tap is always safe. Beginner is 9×9 with 10 mines; Intermediate 12×12 with 25; Expert 16×16 with 50.

How to use the Minesweeper

  1. Tap any square to start – the first tap is safe.
  2. Use the numbers to work out where the mines are.
  3. Flag mines; reveal every safe square to win.

Tips

  • A “1” touching only one hidden square means that square is a mine.
  • Tap a revealed number whose flags are complete to open its neighbours (chording).
  • Start from the corners and edges of open areas.
