What is the Image to Text (OCR) tool?
OCR (optical character recognition) reads the text inside a picture and turns it into editable text you can copy. Use it for screenshots, photos of notices, scanned book pages, receipts, business cards and PDFs saved as images.
This tool uses the open-source Tesseract OCR engine running inside your browser. It supports English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, French, German, Spanish and mixed English + Urdu. The first run downloads the language data (a few MB), then it is cached.
