What is the Online Guitar Tuner?
Tune your acoustic, electric or bass guitar – or ukulele – using just your phone or laptop microphone. The tuner listens to each string, shows the note it hears and a needle that tells you whether to tighten (too flat) or loosen (too sharp) the string.
Choose Standard (E A D G B E), Drop D, Half-step down, DADGAD, Open G, Bass or Ukulele – or use chromatic mode for any instrument.
How to use the Online Guitar Tuner
- Press Start tuner and allow microphone access.
- Pick your tuning. Play one string at a time and let it ring.
- If the needle is left (flat), tighten the string. If it is right (sharp), loosen it.
- When the needle is in the middle and turns green, that string is in tune.
Tips for accurate tuning
- Tune in a quiet room and keep the phone close to the guitar.
- Pluck firmly and let the note ring – do not mute it.
- Always tune up to the note: if you are sharp, go a bit below and then come back up.
This Online Guitar Tuner is 100% free, needs no signup and runs privately in your browser – on phone, tablet or computer.
