What is the Volume Booster?
Is your recording too quiet? The Volume Booster makes any audio file louder – voice notes, lectures, songs or the sound from a video. Drag the boost slider or press Normalize to make the loudest point reach a safe maximum automatically.
A built-in soft limiter stops loud parts from crackling, so you get a louder file without harsh distortion.
How to use the Volume Booster
- Choose an audio or video file.
- Press Normalize for automatic loudness, or drag the Boost slider.
- Keep Prevent distortion on, preview, then download as MP3 or WAV.
Good to know
- Normalize sets the highest peak to −1 dB – the loudest the file can be without clipping.
- Boosting a very noisy recording also makes the noise louder.
- For quiet phone videos, first use Video to MP3.
