Free online scientific calculator with trig, logs, powers, roots, factorial and history.
What is the Scientific Calculator?
A free scientific calculator that works perfectly on phones and computers. It supports basic arithmetic, powers, square roots, trigonometry in degrees or radians, inverse trig functions, natural and base-10 logarithms, factorials, percentages, π and e – with live results as you type and a short history.
You can tap the keys or type full expressions with your keyboard, for example 2*sin(30)+sqrt(16), and press Enter.
How to use the Scientific Calculator
- Tap the keys or type an expression.
- Switch between degrees and radians if needed.
- Press = or Enter to see the result and save it in history. Use Ans to reuse the last result.
Supported functions
| Key / text | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ^ | Power (2^10 = 1024) |
| √ or sqrt( ) | Square root |
| sin, cos, tan | Trigonometry |
| asin, acos, atan | Inverse trig (type them) |
| ln, log | Natural log, log base 10 |
| ! | Factorial (5! = 120) |
| % | Percent (50% = 0.5) |
Order of operations
The calculator follows standard maths rules (BODMAS/PEMDAS): brackets first, then powers, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. So 2 + 3 × 4 = 14, while (2 + 3) × 4 = 20.
Frequently asked questions
Why is sin(30) not 0.5?
Check the angle mode – in radians, sin(30) ≈ −0.988. Switch to Degrees.
Can I use it in exams?
Online calculators are usually not allowed in exams – check your rules.
How precise are the results?
Results are shown to 12 significant digits.
Does it work offline?
Once the page is loaded, calculations work without internet.
This scientific calculator is 100% free, needs no signup and works on phones, tablets and computers. Your data is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
