What is the Random Team Generator?
Make fair teams in seconds for cricket, football, class projects, office games or quiz nights. Paste the names, choose how many teams you want (or how many people per team) and press Generate. Each team gets a colour and a name, and you can reshuffle as many times as you like.
Mark captains with a * at the start of their name and they will be placed in different teams.
How to use the Random Team Generator
- Enter one name per line.
- Choose the number of teams or people per team.
- Press Generate teams. Copy the result or share it on WhatsApp.
Tips
- Add * before a name (e.g. *Ali) to make them a captain – captains are spread across teams.
- Uneven numbers are handled automatically – some teams get one extra person.
This Random Team Generator is 100% free, needs no signup and runs privately in your browser – on phone, tablet or computer.
